Road Closure Notice:

Wednesday, March 4, 2026 E. 1st Street (Hwy 237) will be closed from the intersection with McAlister while the City of Island City is working on a water main. 

A detour will be set up for those headed East to Cove: From N. McAlister go straight through intersection headed south on McAlister turn left (east) onto E. 2nd Street then turn left (north) onto Sterling. 

From Island Avenue:  turn right (south) onto S. McAlister, turn left (east) onto E. 2nd Street, turn left (north) onto Sterling. 

A detour will be set up for those headed West to Island City/La Grande:  turn left (South) on Sterling, then make right turn (west) on E. 2nd Street, then right (north) onto McAlistser Road.
